What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is mental health therapy through live video, like Zoom. During these sessions, the therapist and client can see, hear and interact with the client in real time, using HIPAA compliant systems. Dr. Tara can work with anyone who lives in the state of Colorado.
Convenience: There is no commute and there are no physical barriers, like stairs, or problems with location.
Comfort: Many clients feel more comfortable in their own environments. For example, clients like to be near pets or other comforting objects nearby during telehealth. Telehealth is also ideal for clients with health concerns that would rather not be seen in an office.
Confidentiality: Dr. Tara is legally bound by the laws of confidentiality for Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) in the state of Colorado. She works in a private home office which is secured from sound leakage. Would I feel disconnected from you? Some clients prefer face-to-face counseling, but many clients report that once they get to know the therapist, they feel freer to be themselves through telehealth.
